Our founder, Samira Hafiz's journey into mental health care began with a powerful commitment: to create a space where every person feels truly understood and empowered. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) trained at NYU, she brings an exceptional level of clinical expertise, knowing firsthand the transformative impact that skilled, compassionate care can bring to someone’s life. With a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Samira Hafiz  also understands the ways our personal histories, relationships, and unique identities shape who we are, embracing each client’s story with deep empathy and insight. Through every session, she is here not just to listen, but to help you uncover your inner strength, find healing, and gain clarity. Her approach goes beyond treatment—it’s about building a genuine connection that supports you at every step, helping you reclaim your voice and navigate life’s complexities with resilience.     To become a new client, the first step is to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call. During this call, we will discuss your needs and determine if our services are the right fit for you. If we decide to move forward together, we will guide you through the next steps to officially start therapy.
  • What can I expect during the initial consultation call?
    During the initial consultation call, we’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy or counseling, your goals, and any specific concerns you may have. This 15-minute call helps us determine if our services are the right fit for you and gives you the opportunity to ask questions about the process. Based on this conversation, we’ll outline the next steps, including scheduling your first full session if you choose to move forward.
  • Do I need a referral to receive services?
    No, a referral is not required to begin therapy or counseling services. You can contact us directly to schedule a consultation and determine the best path forward for your care.
  • Are sessions in person or virtual?
    We offer both in person and virtual sessions. Our virtual sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. This allows you to receive therapy from the comfort of your own home or any private space, making it convenient and accessible.
  • How long will my therapy last?
    The duration of therapy varies depending on each client’s individual needs. At the beginning of your treatment, we’ll create a personalized plan to outline the number of sessions recommended based on your goals. As we progress, this plan can be reassessed, and we can adjust the number of sessions if your needs or preferences change, ensuring you receive the right level of support.
  • Can I use my insurance for therapy?

  • What should I do if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment
    If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a cancellation fee. Please contact us directly to manage your appointment changes.
